The IK800R2’s diving ability clears 18 feet, the deepest in its class, when cast, and reaches over 26 feet when dragged within 164 feet (both when using 12LB fluoro). In addition, by attaching a quick changer sinker (recommended 5g) to the original optional hanger, the casting distance, diving depth, and diving range are dramatically improved. After a full cast, the lure is allowed to sink to the bottom, and then dragged after waiting for the line to sink sufficiently, making it possible to easily pull the lure over the 26 to 32 foot range, even within the JB’s 50m dragging rule.
